Chaotic Neutrality and Dragons

As a child, most of us are told to let our imaginations run wild; To believe in whatever we wanted, that it was healthy. Now as adults, I’m constantly being told to “Keep my head out of the clouds,” or to “Focus on real life.” You know what I think about that? BULLSHIT. I’ve always had a very active imagination, and I still do now as a 20-year-old young woman. So being asked what my “imaginary world” looks like excites me. It’s not something I get to discuss in everyday conversation. If I did, it might weird out some people. But whatever!
Unlike most my age dream of feasible things like, marriage, partnership, family, and career, my wild ass is over here screaming, DRAGONS, MAGIC, ASSASSINS, AND THEIVES! As an avid video gamer, one of the things I enjoy doing is immersing myself into the setting of the game and getting a feel for characters and their emotions. One of my favorite games is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I love being able to create a character and make them into whomever I want them to be. Controlling the method of combat, the armor choice, and the perks they receive. Total, I’ve put at least 300 hours into the game over a series of different consoles: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 4. Even after those 300 hours, I’m still not bored with the game.
Within my imaginary world I’ve created for myself, I feel I can truly be my chaotic neutral self. Which is great! I envision a world set in medieval times, with knights, assassins, trade caravans, elves, orcs, dragons, and well, humans! In being chaotic neutral, I do so shitty things, and some good things that could be considered questionable, just to even out the bad. Aesthetically, dark clothes are the norm, with some basic, leather armor. My weapon of choice? The bow. When you’re an assassin, it’s all about stealth!
Though having this type of imaginary world makes me feel slightly childish, it keeps me young at heart, even though I’m only 20. But fuck it, I won’t be 20 forever, so I’ll enjoy it while I can!
